CELEBRATE INDEPENDENCE DAY IN MIDDLEBURG, VIRGINIA
The Town of Middleburg is pleased to announce that its Independence Day activities will be held on Saturday, July 4th at the Middleburg Community Charter School (MCCS) located at 101 N. Madison Street.
Events for July 4, 2026, in Middleburg begin at 6:00pm and include:
Live Music
Food & Beverages available for purchase
Middleburg American Legion
Moo Thru
Bouncy Houses, Basketball, Playground, and More!
Fireworks are scheduled to begin around 9:15pm (subject to change)
Prior to these activities, the Middleburg Business and Professional Association will host the Independence Day Kids' Parade. Line-up starts at 5:45pm at the Community Center and will proceed with a police escort to the Middleburg Community Charter School.
Viewing of the fireworks will occur on the MCCS ball field. Visitors are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs. (Visitors can also walk to the Town Green at the Town Hall and watch from the grass. Please stay outside the restricted area!)
PARKING:
Parking is limited and is available offsite throughout the Town and at the Community Center’s gravel parking lot – both are a short walk to MCCS. There is limited parking for disabled persons available at the MCCS (disabled placard required). Click here for a larger map of parking options.
Fireworks will be discharged on the Salamander Resort property with the Middleburg Community Charter School providing an excellent view. The location was changed in 2022 due to the construction of homes on the Salamander property.
TRAFFIC FLOW:
There are no road closures on July 4th. However, please note that Pendleton Street into the Salamander Resort is limited to Resort Guests only, and Martingale Ridge Drive, Reed Street, and Chestnut Street into the Salamander Residences will be limited to residents only due to parking concerns and fire lane restrictions.
Traffic into the Town Hall Parking Lot must use Marshall Street to enter and Pendleton Street to exit (left-turn only).
At the conclusion of the fireworks, all traffic leaving the Salamander Resort will be directed down Chestnut Street to Route 50. This is due to the fallout zone mandated by the Fire Marshall for at least 30-45 minutes following the conclusion of the fireworks display.
Traffic departing the Charter School or Community Center will be encouraged to join with Route 50 at the nearest cross-street.
GUIDELINES:
All residents and visitors are asked to respect private property, follow police direction, and stay outside the fallout restriction area that will be marked with police tape.
Pet owners are asked to leave their pets at home due to proximity to the fireworks display and due to school regulations about dogs on school property.
Please also note that alcoholic beverages are not permitted at the event or anywhere on the MCCS property.
EARLY EVENTS:
Kick off the day at the Middleburg Museum with a reading of the Declaration of Independence. This starts at 4:00pm.
Also beginning at 4:00pm, join the Middleburg Community Center for: free swimming, face painting, food trucks, and fun! Then join the parade down to the Charter School at 5:45pm.
