Public water providers were required by the US EPA to conduct an inventory of all service lines - both before and after the meter - to identify whether any lead-based pipes or materials were in place in the water system.
The Town of Middleburg contracted with IES, our water operator, to conduct this inventory.
No service lines were identified as having lead on both the public- and private- side of the meter. A summary report and description of the statistical method used is available here.
