Real Estate
The Town of Middleburg has now consolidated its real estate tax billing with Loudoun County. To view or pay your tax bill please visit our payments page.

Meals Tax
The Town of Middleburg requires a 4% meals tax from all restaurants, food trucks and other food establishments. Payments are due on the 20th of the month immediately following the taxable month. For your convenience, we have included an online meals tax form to assist you in producing your total amount due.
Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT)
The Town of Middleburg collects a 7% transient occupancy tax (5% Middleburg/2% Northern Virginia Region) from all hotels, motels, short term rentals, and Airbnb establishments. The tax is due quarterly on the 20th of the month immediately following the taxable quarter. For your convenience, we have included an online occupancy tax form to assist you in producing your total amount due.
Business License Tax (BPOL)
The Town of Middleburg requires all businesses operating within the town limits to obtain a business license. For your convenience, we now offer a fillable online business license application for new businesses that you can complete, print and submit to the Town Office.
Business License Renewals are due on March 1st of every year. The Town offers a fillable online business license renewal form you can complete, print and submit to the Town Office.

Vendors participating in limited church or community events must purchase a temporary business license.
